HATCHERY OPERATIONS MANAGER (FARMING BUSINESS UNIT)

Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic and driven professional to take a strategic role at the heart of our Farming Business Unit. As part of the Farming Leadership team, you will play a key part in achieving our production objectives for day-old chicks -ensuring both quantity and quality excellence.

You will be responsible for:

• Strategic Coordination: drive capital investments with management and ensure effective implementation.
• Process Optimization in incubation processes, ventilation and overall hatchery unit performance.
• Crisis Management: face emergency breakdown to minimize downtime and protect production continuity.
•  Maintenance Oversight: Lead and support the Maintenance staff to ensure the facility operates at peak
  efficiency and remains in excellent working order.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with teams, suppliers and partners.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation, sustainability and operational excellence.

Profile

• Degree holder in Agriculture, or Engineering, with at least 5 years experience in poultry operations would be an advantage.
•  Proven leadership and communication skills, problem solver, a growing mindset and eager to develop your team members and to bring ideas that improve performance and sustainability.
• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced indoor environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lift, stoop, kneel, crouch and lay on floor as needed for long period of time.
• Available during odd hours and able to cope with pressure and setbacks.
• Develop an animal welfare workforce with a focus on quality to our customer.
