Tâches et Responsabilités

The “Contrôleur de Gestion” plays a key role in ensuring financial discipline, efficiency, and transparency across all operational and support functions of the company. The position focuses on monitoring project and operational costs, analyzing variances, improving resource allocation, and supporting decision-making with reliable cost insights.

 

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems for all business units (Operations, Projects, and Support).
  • Track project-level and departmental budgets, commitments, and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved plans.
  • Analyze cost trends and variances between actual, budgeted, and forecasted figures.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve cost efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Assist managers in preparing and reviewing cost estimates and progress reports.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly cost control reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for management review.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by consolidating financial and operational data.
  • Ensure accurate cost allocation across cost centers and analytical dimensions in the ERP system.
  • Develop cost models for new business initiatives, tenders, and pricing strategies.
  • Contribute to project post-mortem analyses to evaluate profitability and identify lessons learned.
  • Work in close coordination with Operations, Project Management, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure real-time cost tracking.
  • Support department heads in understanding and managing their cost drivers.
  • Provide financial insights during strategic meetings, procurement reviews, and performance assessments.
  • Promote cost awareness and accountability across all business units.
  • Collaborate with the Performance Management Unit to enhance financial KPIs and reporting frameworks.
  • Participate in internal control reviews and process improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Contribute to ERP and digital transformation projects aimed at improving data accuracy and cost visibility.
  • Help design and enforce SOPs for procurement, project costing, and warehouse management.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Management.
  • ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualification or in progress accepted.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control, management accounting, or project finance, ideally in engineering, construction, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (MD365, SAP, Odoo, or similar) and advanced Excel / Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with both finance and non-finance teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset and business acumen.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into operational insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational rigor.
  • Proactive, solution-driven, and collaborative.
  • Capacity to challenge existing practices constructively and drive improvement.
