- Develops and implements the company’s health and safety goals in alignment with the Group strategies and legal requirements
- Conducts Occupational Safety & Health risk assessments, inspections & audits, at regular intervals, to identify risks to and propose appropriate mitigation measures to safeguard the safety & health of employees and other stakeholders
- Implements appropriate training programmes including hazard management, accident investigation, manual handling, fire safety, first aid, emergency response training, etc. and keeps proper records thereof
- Investigates and reports on all serious/critical personal injuries/accidents/hazardous conditions occurring at the workplace
- Works out on the monthly Health & Safety reports to be presented to Management Team & Group Safety & Health Manager
Profile
- Bsc (Hons) Occupational Safety and Health Management or any other recognised qualification
- Having at least 3 years’ experience in occupational safety & health at operational level in a manufacturing work environment with knowledge of relevant health and safety statutory requirements, regulations, codes of practice and guidelines and the ability to translate and apply these to a work environment
- Knowledge in ISO systems will be an advantage
- Dynamic, good interpersonal, problem solving, communication skills, pro-active and detailed oriented
- Promoter for animal welfare
