Veterinarian

Duties and Responsibilities

Join Avipro, part of the Eclosia Group, and contribute to the development of a modern and sustainable poultry industry in Mauritius.

Plan and carry out technical visits across production sites

Prescribe laboratory tests and analyse results

Diagnose, treat and prevent major poultry diseases

Develop and implement health prevention and control programs

Participate in slaughterhouse inspections

Ensure proper use of veterinary products and food safety compliance

Issue animal health certificates in line with regulations

Participate to meetings and liaise with external stakeholders (consultants, DVS, MMPA etc.)

Provide veterinary follow-up for company guard dogs

Profile

Degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVetMed or equivalent)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Good knowledge of national veterinary legislation

Proficient in IT tools

Excellent written and verbal communication

Proactive, adaptable and team-oriented

Experience in poultry production is an advantage

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
