Corporate Legal Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides advice, assistance and support in dealing with legal tasks, litigations, drafting and vetting of contracts and dispute resolution.
• Guides the Company on taking appropriate decisions and advises whether all the proceedings of the organisation are compliant with the applicable legal framework
• Provides advice on different legal matters and assists in drafting legal opinions, policies, memoranda and other documents.
• Liaises with external counsels on all court related matters
• Liaises with the notaries of the Group for guidance in respect of the legal structuration
• Stays abreast of all legislative's changes, requirements and responsibilities in the jurisdictions in which the companies of the Group operate and provide legal support to the various departments of the companies of the Group
• Identifies and ensures preferred legal support in foreign jurisdictions in which the Group operates
• Establishes and implements a legal framework for the Group, consisting of e.g guidelines, best practices, reporting processes.

Profile

• LLB or Law related degree
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in legal or corporate legal field
• Excellent French and English oral and writing
• IT- Proeficient in Word, Power Point and Excel 
• Experience in Company administration, company secretarial works would be an advantage
• Being agile at work to adapt to a constant evolving environment whilst being concise and precise in identifying key focus areas and continuous improvements
• Committed towards lean management with the ability to challenge current process and accompany stakeholders with any change required
• Self-motivated with strong communication, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in teams under time pressure and manage multiple commitments
