Junior Aquarist

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and transport new specimens
• Acclimate new specimens
• Prepare food and feed animals
• Give medications to animals
• Check water quality and adjust water parameters
• Check Life Support Systems and make adjustments accordingly
• Clean the tanks and aquariums
• Carry out morning and evening checklists
• Dive on a regular basis for feeding and cleaning
• Other related assigned duties

Profile

• Mininum HSC required
• Possess a diving license
• Fluent in English and French (written and verbal)
• Proactive and team-player
• Possess a valid driving license

Preferred skills

• Degree in Marine Sciences or related field
• Prior diving experience
• Good swimming skills
• Ability to perform manual handling
