Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond effectively to employees’ queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external HR correspondence, including employment contracts, letters, memos and email communications
  • Handle attendance management and support payroll administration processes
  • Provide support to the HR team in areas such as HR operations, training coordination, health & safety and employee welfare
  • Actively participate in the implementation of HR projects, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are being adhered to and report cases of non-conformity to Management
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly HR dashboard for Management reporting
  • Conduct onboarding and induction processes and maintain accurate records of new recruits
  • Follow up on medical insurance, pension schemes and perform all related administrative duties

Profile

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in HR, ideally in a manufacturing sector
  • Knowledge of Mauritian Labour laws and industrial relations
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken & written) - French & English
  • Good computer literacy and ease with MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Oracle HR & Ursula Payroll and Attendance Management System will be a definite advantage
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities, organise workload and meet deadlines
  • Result-oriented with a ‘Can Do’ attitude
