Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and update the bar menu, ensuring a variety of beverages that appeal to the hotel's target audience.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and cocktails, and make recommendations to guests.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in beverage preparation and presentation.
  • Monitor and maintain bar inventory, including ordering and stocking of supplies.
  • Implement and manage inventory control procedures to minimize waste and prevent losses.
  • Analyze sales and consumption data to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Ensure all bar operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling procedures and end-of-shift reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute bar service for special events, including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties
  • Schedule shifts and manage labor costs in line with budgetary guidelines.
  • Any other cognate duties

Profile

  • Diploma or degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
  • Certification in mixology or bartending is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mixology and knowledge of a wide range of beverages.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
