Agro Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities

New Maurifoods Ltd, a company of the Eclosia Group, is recruiting an Agro Coordinator. The Agro Coordinator will report directly to the Operations & Development Manager and will ensure the supply of lettuce, cabbage, carrots and vegetables in the required quantity and quality through a network of partner growers and in-house production sites.

• Support and coordinate a network of partners growers in fulfilling their supply contracts and complying with good agricultural practices (audits specifications).
• Supervise a team of 10 workers (Mauritian and expat) across several sites (nursery, sheltered farming and open field).
• Manage agricultural innovation (R&D, varietal trials) and develop a “zero pesticide” product range on a 5-acre plot.
• Ensure daily supplies to the factory in compliance with international standards (franchises, ISO, HACCP).
• Coordinate with clients on production planning and scheduling and monitor technical performance.

Profile

• BSc in Agriculture or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of experience in Agriculture specially in crop production will be an advantage.
• A valid driving license is required.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to contribute to the department’s digital transformation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Dynamic, good interpersonal, problem solving, communication & negotiation skills, pro-active and detailed oriented.
