Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Controller is responsible for providing financial management support, advice, and analysis across all areas of the company.  This position is responsible for the preparation of financial statements, the development and implementation of budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis, overseeing cash flow management, and coordinating internal and external audits.

The Financial Controller is also responsible for overseeing the supply chain department, ensuring optimal inventory management, procurement efficiency, and supply chain strategy alignment with financial planning.

 

  • Develop, implement, and improve financial systems and controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in line with company/group policy and processes.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, management of the month-end process, and timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are in compliance with legal, regulatory frameworks, and Eclosia Group’s Financial & Accounting Procedures and Policies (FAPP).
  • Manage and maintain a robust cash management system, including timely and accurate forecasting, processes, documentation, and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate internal audits and external audit requirements by preparing schedules, ensuring efficient and effective audit processes, and resolving any audit findings. Ensure HODs provide remedial action plans, with clear implementation dates of all weakness points highlighted by Auditors.
  • Prepare regular financial performance reports comparing actual performance with budgets, forecasting trends, variances and margins and flag all abnormalities.
  • Supervise the Supply Chain Department to ensure efficient procurement, inventory, and logistics operations.
  • Align supply chain strategy with financial objectives and business needs.

  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead a team.
