Duties and Responsibilities

Description

The Quality and Compliance Coordinator reports to the Business Manager and is responsible for applying and improving quality, hygiene, and food safety procedures across all sites. This role ensures products meet regulatory and internal standards to maintain customer satisfaction and supports health and safety compliance in line with guidelines from the Health & Safety Officer.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor quality, hygiene, and food safety procedures in line with HACCP, legal standards, and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct internal audits and follow up on non-conformities with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Monitor product quality, raw materials, packaging, and storage conditions.
  • Train and coach staff on hygiene, quality, and food safety practices.
  • Plan and follow up on lab tests, swabbing, sampling, and certificates of analysis.
  • Manage customer complaints, conduct investigations, and ensure proper resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in collaboration with the H&S Officer.

Profile

  • Excellent knowledge of local food safety regulations, as well as HACCP and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent relationship skills and effective communication to embark business partners to adopt the quality culture.
  • Ability to train and educate operational teams.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to manage feedback and complaints constructively.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety Officer to ensure health and safety policies are followed across all sites

 

 

Profile

  • Bachelor degree in food science/ food technology, or total quality management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a quality assurance role in the food industry; ideally in the bakery, pastry, or food service industry.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations will be a definite advantage
  • Regular travel to sites (retail outlets, production laboratories, and manufacturing sites).
  • Work closely with production teams (flexible working hours)
