Product Development Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

As a pioneer in the Mauritian dairy industry, Maurilait is seeking a Product Development Officer. The selected candidate will play an essential role in the design of our products.

• Lead & coordinate product development execution projects
• Conduct trials on innovative recipes to refine and perfect our offerings.

• Monitor and ensure the sensory quality of our products remains top-tier.
• Troubleshoot processes to maintain the highest standards of product quality.
• Collaborate across various departmental tasks to foster ongoing innovation and improvement
• Report directly to the Product Development Coordinator, contributing to our team’s overall success.

Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Previous experience in laboratory testing, scientific research, or industrial production is a plus.

• Highly organized, with the ability to adapt and stay agile in a constantly evolving environment.
• A curious and determined problem solver, with strong analytical skills.
• Self-driven and able to manage priorities and deadlines efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
