Retirements, appointments and new adventures

Aug 15, 2025

Since June 2025, the Eclosia Group has experienced several notable moments: well-deserved retirements, strategic appointments, and exciting career developments.

The first transition involved Rocky Forget, an iconic figure within the Group, who after 45 years of dedicated service has stepped down. He contributed to the development of Avipro and then Livestock Feed Ltd (LFL) with passion, humility, and determination. Romain Harel, who joined the Group in 2008, now takes over the leadership. With experience in Mauritius, Madagascar, and at the head of Farming operations, he aims to continue the momentum initiated by Rocky.

A few days later, another chapter closed in the hospitality sector. Rolph Schmid, after 26 years with Eclosia, steps down from leading the four establishments of the Ninety-Six Hotel Collection. Excellence and vision marked his tenure at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, the Suffren & Marina Hotel, the Hennessy Park Hotel, and The Address Boutique Hotel. He passes the baton to Vincent Cavalot, a seasoned professional with experience at several leading hotel brands in Mauritius.

Also in July, the education sector experienced an important change. Founder of Vatel Mauritius, Renaud Azéma has trained over 1,500 professionals in hospitality and tourism. He now hands over the leadership to Marine Boullé, a professional from the education and hospitality sector. This carefully prepared transition aims to strengthen the school’s mission: shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

August also brought its share of new developments. After twelve years leading the “Franchise” Business Unit at Avipro, Mélanie Giraud embarks on a new adventure as the head of Pains & Moulins, a recently integrated artisanal bakery and patisserie. Over 22 years, she has successfully led numerous projects in Mauritius, Madagascar, and Rwanda, fully embodying the values of Eclosia.

Continuing this momentum, she also passes the leadership of the Chantefrais Franchise to Ingrid Appou, formerly Brand Manager at Panagora. Close to the field, dynamic, and visionary, Ingrid takes over with the determination to continue developing the network.
