Eclosia LEAD: self-discovery as a path to better leadership
Twenty employees from various companies within the Eclosia Group received their certificates from the Eclosia LEAD programme during a ceremony held on 15 May at the Charles Telfair Education (CTE) campus. This training programme was developed jointly by Eclosia and the Charles Telfair Leadership Academy. After thirteen months of learning, all participants came away with the same conclusion: leadership begins, above all, with self-awareness and self-mastery.
This fourth cohort brought together professionals from different sectors through modules focused on self-leadership, communication, coaching, technology, as well as diversity and inclusion. For Belinda Rault, Head of Talent Management at Eclosia, the programme goes beyond technical skills. “Leadership is not defined by a title or a position. It is measured by the impact we have on others,” she emphasised during her speech. She also reminded participants that “leadership is not about having power, but about empowering others to move forward.”
For the participants, the programme left a lasting impression through its human-centred and practical approach. Samiirah Doomah, Operations Coordinator at Avipro, explained that the self-leadership module helped her gain a better understanding of herself. “When we accept who we are, everything else becomes a genuine opportunity for learning,” she said. She also noted that she is already applying some of the tools acquired during the programme in her daily work.
Jannick Vyapury, Assistant Logistics Manager at LFL, shared a similar sentiment. “Today, I feel more attentive, more open-minded, and more aware that leadership is, above all, about people,” he said.
Beyond the certificates awarded that day, participants leave with a stronger network, new perspectives, and a shared desire to continue growing together.
